Winners Crowned at Canal Celebration Pageant

Five winners were selected during the annual Little Falls Canal Celebration Pageant held Thursday (August 7th) at Benton Hall in Little Falls. Over 30 contestants from across the Mohawk Valley were judged on personality, stage presence and appearance during the event. The top scoring contestants received crowns and trophies along with roses from Rose Petals Florist in Little Falls and will appear in the grand parade Friday evening. Results are as follows:

Little Falls Canal Celebration Queen: AnnMarie Inman, 16, of Fort Plain
First Runner-Up: Destinee Leigh Masi, 14, of Frankfort
Second Runner-Up: Jeena Cool, 14, of Stratford

Little Falls Canal Celebration Princess: Ashley Nichole McDuffee, 13, of Fultonville
First Runner-Up: Destiny Marie French, 12, of Ilion
Second Runner-Up: Linda Conti, 10, of Fultonville

Little Falls Canal Celebration Junior Miss: Alexys Conti, 7, of Fultonville
First Runner-Up: Candice Jane Sabatino, 6, of Little Falls
Second Runner-Up: Abigail C. Mosher, 8, of Little Falls

Little Falls Canal Celebration Little Miss: Kayleigh Mowers, 5, of Salisbury Center
First Runner-Up: Magdalena Pellerito, 4, of Mohawk
Second Runner-Up: Jazmin Llewellyn, 4, of Mohawk

Little Falls Canal Celebration Little Mister: Bradley Lamphere, 6, of Dolgeville
First Runner-Up: Andrew Richardson, 4, of Little Falls

The pageant included Irish step dancing entertainment by Miss Mohawk Valley, Kieren Sheridan and Miss Mohawk Valley's Outstanding Teen, Courtney Sheridan. The event was hosted by pageant director Laurie Jean Britton. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Miss Mohawk Valley Scholarship Program.

Miss Mohawk Valley's Outstanding Teen Pageant

Miss Mohawk Valley's Outstanding Teen Crowned

Courtney Sheridan, 16, of Fort Plain was named Miss Mohawk Valley's Outstanding Teen during a pageant held Saturday (April 19th) at the St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Sheridan will represent the area at Miss New York's Outstanding Teen Pageant in Utica. Other placements are as follows:

1st Runner-Up - Destinee Leigh Masi, 13, of Frankfort
2nd Runner-Up - Clarinda Blais, 13, of Herkimer
Royal Court - AnnMarie Inman, 16, of Fort Plain

Miss Mohawk Valley's Youth Pageant and Talent Showcase Winners
Selected During Weekend Contests

The annual Little Miss / Teen Miss Mohawk Valley pageant was held Saturday, 19 January 2008 at the Century Club in Amsterdam. Participants from across the Mohawk Valley competed for titles in five age divisions with top winners receiving a crown, sash and trophy. The pageant was followed by a talent showcase in the evening. Both events were held as fund raisers for the Miss Mohawk Valley Scholarship Program which will host their major scholarship pageant on March 29th at Ilion High School where this weekend's winners will be featured as guest performers. The programs were emceed by director Laurie Jean Britton. Judges were Katie Klupa, Susan Woodman and Nina Rouse. Winners are as follows:

Mohawk Valley Garlic and Herb Festival Pageant

Five winners were crowned Saturday (September 8th) during the annual youth pageant held as part of the sixth annual Mohawk Valley Garlic and Herb Fesival in Little Falls. Participants from across the Mohawk Valley competed for top honors and royal court positions. The results are as follows:

Miss Garlic Festival - Kieren Sheridan, 19, of Fort Plain

Garlic Queen - Alexandria Mika, 16, of Little Falls
Alternate Queen - Jeena Cool, 14, of Stratford

Herb Princess - Marisa-Jean Fowler, 13, of Ilion

Named to the pageant's royal court were Tiffany Sargalis, Eliza Jones, Kaela Joyner, ShyAnne Bolen, Richelle Renee Reynolds, Brianna Parks, Carlianna Stafford and Melina Maine.

The pageant was emceed by director Laurie Jean Britton and featured a guest musical performance by Miss Mohawk Valley, Theresa Tokarowski. All proceeds from the pageant will benefit the Miss Mohawk Valley Scholarship Program.
